According to the National Coffee Association, 80% of Americans drink coffee and 50% drink it every day. Over 500 billion cups are consumed worldwide each year, and more than 50 countries grow and export coffee. With so many people drinking coffee, it is important to ensure it is organically grown.

When it comes to coffee, organic is not just a buzzword or marketing gimmick. In many coffee growing regions, harmful pesticides and chemicals are used in the soil and on coffee trees. Many of these chemicals and pesticides are illegal in the U.S. and Canada. When used in the soil or on the trees, these chemicals can poison plants, animals and organisms that live in the soil and can be harmful to humans.

Here are some reasons to consider drinking organic coffee:
1. Farmers who grow and sell organic coffee receive a higher price for their product.
2. Organic coffee is naturally grown without using harmful chemicals and pesticides such as DDT.
3. Growing produce using organic methods helps to prevent soil erosion.
4. It helps create a sustainable future by not polluting the soil and creating a safe and healthy work environment.

5. It helps create a cycle of social and environmental responsibility by teaching farmers a better way to grow produce right from the very start.
6. Organic coffee tastes good and does not leave a chemical residue on beans.
7. Water sources remain pure and are not polluted by chemicals and pesticides.
8. Does not support/promote GMO’s and chemically engineered agriculture.
9. Takes away reliance on outside corporations and industries for chemicals and pesticides, and provides the farmer with independence and all the tools he needs.
